From the recycler: If the phrase ‘It’s grim up North’ resonates with you, think what it might have been like 40+ years ago without colour TV, a motorway, mobile phone, and internet communication to bring other ways of life to us. ‘A Tale of Two Sixties’ Zouch Magazine & Miscellany, October 2011.
Reread it for the second time with an equal pleasure.
Thank you – those were funny old times.
Great title too, even though I can’t stand the original “The Tale of Two …”.:)
I’m sure I must have read it but it’s left no mark at all!
It would be the same for me if I read in my teenage years together with “Oliver Twist”, but unfortunately I read it rather recently.
Oh dear – at least I got it over with along with the teenage angst and the ‘O’ levels!
One tiny thing: last time I checked, Jacques Brel had no “h” in his name.
I remember you saying but there’s nothing I can do about that now. At least I didn’t spell it Braille!
Ah, I remember too now. Sorry for repeating myself. Yes, that’s no Braille, so all is well.:)
Repeating is only bad if it’s unduly prolonged or due to ingestion of Brussels sprouts!
